to the Totteridge Residents’
Association Annual Yearbook.
This year, 2007, we are celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Totteridge Residents’ Association which originally came into being in 1937 as the Totteridge Ratepayers Association.
If any residents need reminding what a special place Totteridge is to live in, the articles in this yearbook should provide ample evidence. This year, we have taken as our theme the homes and history of the village and have tried to evoke a sense of how Totteridge has developed and evolved - from a decidedly rural community, into the distinctive ‘village suburb’ it is today. We have included unique memories and reminiscences, as well as descriptions of a few of our architectural gems. We hope you will agree that Totteridge residents are fortunate indeed to live in surroundings that are not only beautiful to look at, but also rich in history. |
